VP/SVP - Financial Control

Our client is a bulge bracket investment banking institution with a world class reputation.  Following a post credit crunch review, a major finance transformation programme has being undertaken, which has fundamentally transformed the role of finance and how it interacts with the business.  They are now looking to hire 2 financial controllers into their central finance function to focus on cost management and control.

Reporting into the Director for the area, you will be involved in all areas of financial control for the cost base of a designated internal function, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful financial information and ensure effective control of the relevant cost base.  This will involve monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, detailed analysis of variances and presentation of this information to stakeholders, ensuring an adequate control framework exists for your designated area, oversight off the offshored shared service centres.

Candidates will be qualified accountants with significant post qualified experience of financial control in a large corporate company - banking experience is not essential.  This is therefore an excellent opportunity to make a first move into the banking world.
