Financial Controller

MAIN DUTIES:
•	Responsible for all balance sheet / cash accounting and reporting (Actual, Budget & Forecast)
•	Monthly balance sheet and management account reviews
•	Monthly forecasting to US including Flash Highlights
•	Monthly P&L review with VP Finance and department heads
•	External and internal audit management, Co-ordinate month-end and year-end closes 
•	Co-ordinate statutory reporting
•	Co-ordinate tax accounting, reporting and payments – key contact for advisors
•	Co-ordinate alongside VP Finance the annual Budget process (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow)
•	Responsibility for reviewing monthly budget for central areas supported
•	Responsible for ensuring GAAP compliance (UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS)
•	Responsible for ensuring SOX compliance
•	Maintain and review company internal controls and procedures, in line with group policies
•	Defined benefit pension scheme management – working with actuaries, trustees and external advisors
•	Overall responsibility for UK group insurance
•	Management of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury functions
•	Manage the provision of financial services to International/Divisional offices 
REQUIREMENTS:
•	Qualified accountant, substantial level of experience post qualification 
•	Experience of working with an outsourced supplier of finance services
•	Experience working in an audit practice
•	Previously managed a financial reporting/accounting department
•	UK corporation tax experience & UK & US GAAP
