Product Control - Metals Commodities

Reporting into the head of Finance this is an excellent opportunity to join a leading and growing business commodities trading business.

The team is responsible for the day-to-day control of the business acting as one of the principal day-to-day face-offs through daily reporting (financial resources, risk and P&L) and are expected to display attention to detail and problem solving skills in relation to the overall process.  Ideally you will have a varied product experience.

The role will include:

• Balance sheet and P&L control and substantiation

• Monthly reporting

• Business analysis with regard to existing processes and adoption of change.

• Designing and improving processes and procedures around management information and controls

• Problem solving skills, for identifying most effective solutions to issues

• Responsibility for documentation of evolving practises and procedures

KEY COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

• Fully Qualified / part -qualified accountant with trading / metals experience

• At least 2 years knowledge of the products from a middle office or product control function at a mark-to-market financial institution.
