Financial Controller

Our client is a world-class design / manufacturing, retail and distribution company, comprising 2 highly-profitable divisions (c.£90M t/o).

Based within 15 miles of Plymouth and reporting to the Financial Director, the initial responsibilities of this position include all the UK divisions requirements for Financial Management and Reporting, Management Accounting and Fixed Assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of financial / management accounts including all KPI and supporting analysis. You will work alongside the Finance Director in the preparation of financial forecasts and associated risks and opportunities. This will include but not be limited to: Financial and management reporting, the review and implementation of financial IT systems; analysis of company performance; profit planning; expense budgets and overseeing external accounts, Taxation and VAT.

To be considered for this role you will ideally have managed a small dedicated team, and have excellent communications skills.

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and experience within the manufacturing sector would be highly preferable.Experience: post qualification experience.

Skills: analysing of company performance; profit planning; expense budgets and overseeing external accounts. Personal traits: tact and diplomacy; able to explain issues to Managers.
